What do you need to serve God?

Recently we’ve been thinking about the qualifications and the amount of money and assets that are needed in order to follow God onto His mission field. What if the answer is nothing?

Jesus said;
‘Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.’
Matthew 5:3

It seems like the only qualification that we need is to admit that we have nothing. That we are poor and desperately need God’s help.

The good news is that as we open up to God's provision, we experience God's kingdom in the here and now. Not just in our own lives, but in the lives of those we are serving.
